Randy Redhead aka Prime Red was born on July 27, 1988 in Philadelphia PA. His parents are both natives of the West Indian island of Trinidad and Tobago but raised him in Lancaster PA. Prime Red describes his music as a battle of hip-hop’s past, present and future which takes you on a journey. The goal is to shatter all barriers driving at the heart of people with fierce purpose.

Notable artists that have influenced his music would include Nas, Jay-Z, The Roots, Outkast and Lupe Fiasco. Prime Red began rapping and producing music at the age of 13. Initially he gained popularity and confidence as a local DJ. Seeking to challenge himself and get studio time, he interned for an independent label called AfterShock Records under its founder Glen Jones. Prime Red attended Full Sail University in Florida from 2006 to 2009, where he earned his M.S. in Entertainment Business with an undergraduate study of the Recording Arts. Prime Red released his first EP “Letters from the Architect” in 2011.

His new album “The Blue Kingdom” will be released August 2nd 2016.
